MONTICELLO – A Monsey man is under arrest after he allegedly pointed a gun at another driver while on Route 17 near exit 112. The incident occurred on Sunday at 1:40 p.m. near exit 106 when the car, a black 2014 Dodge Charger with two fake radio antennas on the trunk, was spotted with an occupant pointing a gun at another driver.

Sullivan County Sheriff’s deputies investigated and were able to corner the vehicle on Cimarron Road, a dead-end road.

The driver, Gedaliya Rauch, 18, of Monsey, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor menacing and reckless endangerment. He was sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail. The other passenger was not charged but both men admitted the car was intended to look like an unmarked police vehicle.
