Orange County GOP chairman steps aside for two months

GOSHEN – Orange County Republican Party Chairman Robert Krahulik is taking a two-month leave of absence from his political leadership role. He made the announcement late Thursday night following a lengthy meeting with the executive committee of the party.

Krahulik’s decision comes following reports that he engaged in sexting with a girlfriend, something he did not want to discuss.

“I believe it’s a very personal matter involving a private relationship between two consenting adults and I really don’t want to embarrass anybody involved and I am not willing to discuss details,” he told

Krahulik said he taking the leave for the good of the party and candidates in this year’s elections and expects to resume his duties after the 60 days. In the interim, Vice Chairwoman Courtney Greene will serve as acting chairwoman.
