Three men arrested in connection with two murders, robberies and carjackings

WHITE PLAINS – Three Bronx men were arrested Friday and charged by federal authorities in connection with two commercial robberies, two carjackings and two murders that took place on August 5 and August 12.

Takiem Ewing, also known as “Mulla,” 21, Tyrone Felder. Also known as “Man Man,” 25, and Kareem Martin, also known as “Jamal Walker,” 26, all of the Bronx, were each charged with one count of carkjacking with intent to cause death and serious bodily harm in which a death resulted. That crime carries a maximum sentence of life in prison or the death penalty. The actual sentences, if they are convicted, are up to the judge in the case.

On both dates, a livery cab driver was found shot to death in the Bronx. On August 5, Yonkers Police reported that a minimart in that city had been robbed at gunpoint and cash, bleach and a cell phone were taken. Video footage from outside the store showed the robbers arrived in a black sedan that looked like the vehicle belonging to the homicide victim. Later that day, a Dunkin’ Donuts shop, also in Yonkers, was robbed at gunpoint.

Then on August 12, the second livery driver was found shot to death in the Bronx and two hours later his cab was found abandoned.

Through investigation, the three suspects were linked to all of the cases and were arrested on Friday.
