Four arrested for shoplifting over $17,500 worth of merchandise

CENTRAL VALLEY – Four people are in the Orange County Jail on $15,000 bail each after they were charged with shoplifting over $17,500 worth of merchandise from stores at Woodbury Common in Central Valley.

Charged with grand larceny and possession of stolen property, both felonies, and misdemeanor conspiracy are Devany Primero-Arrendondo, 29, of Brentwood; Jenny Mosquera-Angulo, 25, of College Point; Carlos Alzate-Betancourt, 33, of Queens; and Andres Cruz, 22, of Orlando, Florida.

Woodbury Town Police responded to the Burberry Outlet on Saturday, September 28 for a report of a shoplifting incident that occurred earlier in the day. Officers reviewed the video surveillance showing three men and a woman stealing several trench coats.

As officers were on foot patrol at the outlet mall, they stopped the four suspected in the Red Apple Court area. One fled on foot, but was caught in the parking lot.
