Maloney joins “No Labels” congressional group

WASHINGTON – Hudson Valley Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney (D- Cold Spring) has joined the No Labels congressional problem solvers, a group of 50 members of Congress – Democrats and Republicans from both the House and Senate – to meet regularly to find a common group on issues before Congress.

Maloney said residents of the Hudson Valley are “fed up with partisanship and gridlock” in Washington.

“Sitting down and talking to people you disagree with is fundamental to working like an adult in government,” the Democrat rep said. “Just because we disagree a lot, does not mean we can’t agree on some things.”

No Labels Honorary Co-chairman former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman, a Republican, said the group is “truly patriotic – its members are putting the country first to solve problems.”
