Shooting in Newburgh

NEWBURGH – Police in the City of Newburgh are investigating a shooting that occurred in the mid-morning on Thursday.

A 22-year-old Newburgh man was shot once in the face while driving a vehicle in the area of 150 Smith Street at 9:12 a.m. The injury was not life threatening, police said.

The suspect fired from another vehicle in the area, authorities said.

Officers blocked off South Street from Montgomery Street to Water Street in order to process the crime scene.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call 845-561-3131.
