| Schumer urges Hoboken Film Festival to bring it to Middletown Paramount |
|
MIDDLETOWN – As the founder of the Hoboken Film Festival considers moving it to the Middletown Paramount Theater, US Senator Charles Schumer has urged Kenneth Del Vecchio to hold the festival in the Orange County city. A large portion of filming of “Captured Hearts” by Del Vecchio, the filmmaker, was shot earlier this month at the landmark theater. Should the festival come to Middletown, Schumer said he would “work with local stakeholders to ensure that the festival is a success for both the organizers and the local businesses in Middletown and all of Orange County.” The Hoboken Film Festival has been held in northern New Jersey for the eight years since its inception. Del Vecchio fell in love with Middletown and the Paramount when he came to the city to shoot the film. He is expected to announce his decision about a location for the festival within the next few weeks.
