Wall collapse; man trapped to have died

MAYBROOK – A wall being constructed for the New York City DEP’s aqueduct diversionary tunnel collapsed on Monday trapping three laborers. Two were rescued and the third was trapped in the Maybrook incident.

First responders at the scene told MidHudsonNews.com that the trapped man has died.

The call came in around 12:40 p.m. at 918 Homestead Avenue in the Maybrook.

Emergency responders from a number of Orange County fire departments responded along with the technical rescue team from the Monticello Fire Department.
