Two drug arrests in Greene County 

WOODSTOC/CAIRO - State Police arrested a Woodstock man on charges of criminal possession and sale of drugs, both felonies.

Tyrone Cordero, 28, had been indicted by a Greene County grand jury following an investigation into drug sales in the Village of Tannersville. State Police, the Greene County District Attorney’s Office and Hunter Police Department conducted the investigation that led to Cordero’s arrest on Monday.

Cordero was sent to the Greene County Jail.

In an unrelated incident, a Cairo man was arrested by State Police on two counts each of criminal sale and possession of drugs, all felonies.

Craig Scofield, 24, was indicted by a Greene County grand jury following an investigation into narcotics sales in the Town of Cairo by State Police and the Cairo Police Department.  Schofield is also in the Greene County Jail.

State and Cairo Police were assisted by the State Police Community narcotics Enforcement Team and the Greene County District Attorney’s Office.
