Three arrested in Kingston drug bust

KINGSTON – Three people were arrested by Kingston City Police following a buy-bust drug operation.

Police observed a drug transaction on Wednesday, obtained a search warrant and raided an apartment at 590 Broadway in Kingston. Officers struggled with an 18-year-old man and arrested him on felony charges of criminal sale and criminal possession of drugs.

The man, who police did not publicly identify, is in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.

An 18-year-old woman was also arrested on misdemeanor drug charges, was jailed in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bail.

Lakiesha Gibbs, 28, of that address, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession, and being held in lieu of $2,500 bail or $,5000 bond.
