POMONA - The Rockland County Emergency Operation Center continues to be fully manned and operational.

*Residents should be encouraged to register at www.NyAlert.gov to receive emergency information via cell and text messaging. Those without electricity can register by calling 1-888-697-6972.

5 p.m.:
- Stop any rumors that residents previously housed in local shelters will be turned away at RCC - This seems to be a possible belief in Stony Point - we are contacting them now.
- Town of Ramapo: Ramapo Police Department is urging residents to avoid Spook Rock Rd. between Carlton Ave. and Route 202 due to dangerous and impassable conditions. Residents are urged to avoid Route 202 if at all possible.
- Stony Point: The Stony Point is accepting donations at PD and Town Hall.

3 p.m.:
-Village of Suffern: warming center and re-charging station at Village Hall.
-Village of Airmont: warming center today and tomorrow from 9:00am to 8:00pm.
-United Water: United Water boil water alert and phone # and reminder of Tweed Blvd residents in Piermont.

1 p.m.:
-Reminder: The Rockland County Emergency Operations Center has additional staff available for public inquiries related to Sandy Recovery - InfoRock at 364-2020.
-Area hotels and motels in Rockland County have no available rooms.
-Price gouging information.
-Town of Clarkstown: Receptions Centers: Street Community Center, Congers Community Center, Central Nyack Center, Pascack Center.
-Village of Nyack: The north side of Main Street has power. Restaurants that are offering their locations as charging stations and prepared food heating stations: ice distributions, ban on alcohol, parking restrictions and curfew.
-Town of Orangetown: Orangetown school superintendents will meet on Sunday night to discuss schools.
-County Transportation Updates on no fares collected and schedules.

11 a.m.:
-Village of Nyack: Mayor White is on the steps of the Village Hall giving regular updates and answering questions. Village Hall has no power.
-Transportation: Trips and Red and Tan is running full schedule in passable areas.
-Shelters: RCC is open as a shelter. Village of Piermont & Stony Point shelters opened for residents only.
-Comfort Stations: Orangetown Town Hall, for re-charging mobile devices and medical equipment and access wireless service.
-Water Alert - United Water: boil water alert for Piermont, Grandview, and certain streets in West Nyack.
-County Parks: All Rockland County Parks are closed until further notice.
-List of County Roads opened.
