Dutchess County Veterans Services relocates to better serve vets

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Division of Veterans Services is relocating to its new location at 85 Civic Center Plaza in the City of Poughkeepsie.

The new office will be open starting Wednesday, November 7 in Suite 105.

Veterans Services’ current office location in the County Office Building on Market Street will be closed after 4 p.m. on Friday, November 2 through Tuesday, November 6 for the move.

Office phone and fax numbers will remain unchanged.

Veterans interested in signing up for FAVOR cards can go directly to the County Clerk’s office in the County Office Building during the move.

The move is part of the planned relocation of the Dutchess County Department of Health to the same building, a move projected to save the county more than $500,000 over the next five years.

In 2013, the Division of Veterans Services will be affiliated with the Department of Health as a separate division as part of County Executive Molinaro’s 2013 Tentative Budget proposal.
