Rowdy crowd dispersed outside nightclub

PORT EWEN – It took police from a number of agencies to disperse a crowd of between 80 and 100 people, many of whom were disorderly, early Saturday morning outside the Impulse Nightclub at 434 Broadway in Port Ewen.

Officers were initially called to the scene for a report of a fight with a knife.

Police were called to the entertainment center around 2:30 a.m. and got the people to move along, but one individual, identified as Andre McNabb, 31, of the City of Kingston, refused several requests from police and the manager of the establishment, so he was charged with trespassing.

Two women were treated for intoxication and contusions to their heads.

Police from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, State Police, Kingston City and Town of Ulster Police responded to the scene.

The individual involved in the original fight could not be located.
