Four arrested in large Greene County drug investigation

CATSKILL – Police have arrested four people in Greene County on a number of drug charges on Wednesday morning after they conducted search warrant raids on three residences.

Raided were 109 North Washington Street, apartment 2 in Athens; 122 Route 385, apartment 33 at the Meadow Woods Apartments in Catskill; and 1014 State Route 23A, apartment one, at Catskill Country Apartment in Catskill.

As a result, police seized 200 grams of cocaine, one pound of marijuana, $30,000 in cash, proceeds from an area burglary and a starter pistol.

Arrested were Anthony Beau, 35, and Carmen Cruzado, 29, both of 109 North Washington Street in Athens; Vanessa Ridley, 21, of Meadow Woods Apartments in Catskill; and Clifford Robinson, 37, of Catskill Country Apartments in Catskill.  All four were arraigned with Beau, Robinson and Ridley remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail and Cruzado remanded in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.

Participating in the investigation were State Police at Catskill, the State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Capital District Drug Enforcement Task force, the State Division of Parole and the Village of Catskill Police Department.
