Frontier Communications undergoes over $47 million network upgrade

MID-HUDSON – Frontier Communications has announced network enhancements and capital investments in New York totaling $47.7 million.

The network enhancements will increase broadband speeds and reliability, company officials said. The company has upgrades its telecommunications network backbone increasing capacity of their network to 30 Gig. Frontier has also invested over $8.6 million in improving Broadband service in New York.

It has also upgrades its Metro Ethernet services, providing customers with dedicated Ethernet connectivity.

Frontier provides phone service to central and western Orange County and the East Fishkill area of Dutchess County.
