Fire destroys Sullivan County summer home

THOMPSONVILLE – A three-alarm fire early Sunday destroyed a two-story summer bungalow at Sunshine Estates on Ranch Road in Thompsonville.

Monticello firefighters led the charge at the 7 a.m. blaze, which also brought out a number of other fire departments.

A next door neighbor woke up to see the flames shooting out of the house and called 911. During the operations, an eyewitness saw one firefighter being carried away from the building.
