Saugerties woman arrested in domestic dispute

KINGSTON – A Saugerties woman was arrested early Tuesday morning by Kingston City Police after a domestic dispute.

Police said that while they were investigating the dispute at 214 Downs Street at 12:50 a.m., Amber Zachery, 19,  of 2820 Route 32 in Saugerties struck another person in the face and then fought with officers as they attempted to arrest her.

After she was secured, police learned she was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant for disorderly conduct.

Zachery was also charged with breaking the glass out of a door before police arrived at the domestic incident. She was charged with disorderly conduct, harassment, criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
