SUNY New Paltz continues $300 million upgrade

NEW PALTZ – Some projects in the SUNY New Paltz five year facilities master plan have been completed, but there are several others on the drawing boards. They total $300 million.

College Facilities Management Assistant Vice President John Shupe said some projects have been finalized while others are in the works.

“Old Main renovations are complete. Sojourner Library has begun and we are going to continue this spring. Concourse site improvements are complete. Mohonk Walk, we are beginning this summer,” Shupe said. “Wooster Building is this spring-summer. New science building we are going to begin construction next January. Hasbrouck Quad, we did the first last year; we’re going to finish it this summer. Crispell Hall is complete. New residence hall is slated for construction.”

Also planned are expansion of Elting Hall and construction of a new science building.
