Cortlandt man arrested on Putnam drug charges

CONTINENTAL VILLAGE – Putnam County Sheriff’s investigators have charged a Westchester County man with felony and misdemeanor drug charges following an investigation.

John Magner, 32, of 101 Dogwood Road in Cortlandt was arrested after an undercover deputy developed information that he was selling prescription pain medication in continental Village in the Town of Philipstown. The officer purchased Oxymorphone pills from him on two occasions.

When police stopped Magner in a car, he was in possession of Oxymorphone ills hidden in a household cleaning container.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail. If convicted, he faces up to nine years in state prison, police said.
