Two killed in separate North Castle accidents

NORTH CASTLE – Two people were killed Saturday morning in separate car accidents about an hour apart in the Town of North Castle.

Town police said the first accident occurred at 9:18 a.m. when a car crashed in the area of 25 Hickory Pass in Banksville. The driver of a 2011 Mercedes Benz, a 24-year-old Somers woman, was killed, police said.

Armonk Fire Department Ambulance, Banksville Fire Department and Westchester County EMS responded. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

The second accident occurred at 10:22 a.m. at Route 120 and Airport Road in Armonk and involved two vehicles, a pickup truck and a 2002 Mercury. Both were registered to businesses, the pickup to a Katonah company and the car to a White Plains business.

The driver of the car, a 61-year-old White Plains man, was killed, police said. The driver of the truck, was a 35-year-old Katonah man.

Armonk Fire Department Ambulance, Westchester County EMS and Westchester County Police responded to the scene. The road was closed during the investigation.
