Monticello PBA endorses one village trustee candidate

MONTICELLO – The Monticello Village Police Benevolent Association has endorsed Republican Trustee Carmen Rue in the March 20 elections. She is the only trustee candidate the union has chosen to back.

PBA President Patrolman John Riegler said they may endorse a mayoral candidate depending upon the outcome of the Democratic Party primary election on this coming Tuesday.

Incumbent Mayor Gordon Jenkins faces Trustee Victor Marinello in that race.

The Republican mayoral candidate in March will be David Rosenberg, a former trustee and mayor.
