| Lalor says he’s in the race for the proposed 105th Assembly District |
|
FISHKILL – If the proposed new state legislative districts are approved as proposed on Thursday, Fishkill Republican Kieran Lalor said on Friday he will run for the Assembly in the relabeled 105th District. The district would include the towns of Wappinger, Fishkill, East Fishkill, Beekman, Pawling, Dover, Union Vale, LaGrange and Washington. “The new lines don’t really impact me,” Lalor said. “I have been working for months to represent the people of Southern Dutchess County and the new district allows me to continue pounding the pavement in this part of the county.” Two current two Assembly districts in Dutchess will be open seats with Marcus Molinaro resigning when he was elected county executive and Joel Miller announced he would retire at the end of the year. |
