Two teens charged in Dutchess store burglary

PINE PLAINS – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two teens in connection with a burglary at M&R Grocery in the Town of Pine Plains earlier this month.

Deputies were called to the scene at 1 a.m. on January 11. They found the store had been broken into and the suspects were gone.

Following an investigation, sheriff’s detectives arrested Christopher Kiel, 19, of Clinton and Austin Link, 16, of Pine Plains. They are accused of breaking into the store and stealing incense/synthetic marijuana.

Both teens were arrested on Thursday, January 26 and charged with felony third-degree burglary. They were released pending a future court appearance.

Police said additional charges are pending.
