Brooklyn man charged with possessing over $12,000 worth of counterfeit gift cards

FISHKILL – A 22-year-old Brooklyn was arrested Friday by Fishkill Town Police on charges that he used counterfeit Wal-Mart gift cards to purchase four Apple iPads worth $2,616.

Ladon Pender was detained by Fishkill Town Police Detectives, who found him in possession of 28 additional counterfeit gift cards worth $12,163.

Pender was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree and grand larceny in the fourth degree, both felonies.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
