Two Middletown residents charged in pair of residential burglaries

MIDDLETOWN – Police have arrested two Middletown residents in connection with the burglaries of two residences in the Town of Wallkill.

An investigation with assistance from Middletown City Police led to the arrests of Donnell Kornegay, 40, and Kelly McCaffrey, 25.  Police said both allegedly broke into the homes during the morning hours when the homeowners were not there.  They stole laptops, a TV, cash and jewelry, which were recovered.

Both were charged with two counts of burglary in the second degree.
