School evacuated after bomb threat

BEDFORD – Graffiti found on a bathroom wall at the Fox Lane High School in the Bedford Central School District Thursday morning indicating a bomb threat has resulted in evacuation of the building. Westchester County Police Bomb Squad and Bedford Police swept the building with bomb sniffing dogs and within an hour, gave the administration an “all clear.”

School officials locked down the building Thursday evening and said extra precautionary measures would be taken Friday morning as staff and students arrive.

School administration said they take those types of incidents “very seriously.”

Police are investigating.
