KJ boy struck by car

KIRYAS JOEL – A 10-year-old boy, who was crossing a street in the Village of Kiryas Joel Wednesday evening, was struck by a passing car.

The child was transported by KJ EMS to Hackensack Medical Center for treatment of abrasions to his abdomen.               

The driver of the car, who was traveling on Meron Drive, was a 37-year-old Kiryas Joel resident. He was not injured and no tickets were issued, said Public Safety Director Moses Witriol.
