Police raids lead to drug-related arrests

HUDSON – Armed with Columbia County Court search warrants, Hudson City Police late Wednesday afternoon raided two locations and arrested several people on drug-related charges.

John Ensley, 32, staying at the Berkshire Motor Lodge, was held on a parole warrant with other charges pending. He was taken into custody on the 600 block of State Street and remanded to the Columbia County Jail on the parole warrant.

Kathy Loomis, 28, staying at the Berkshire Motor Lodge, was arrested at 37 North 5th Street. She was being held on a parole warrant with additional charges of first-degree loitering and seventh-degree drug possession. She was remanded to the county jail on the parole warrant.

Several people were charged with loitering in the first degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

Police identified them as Rashaerd Williams, 20, of Cairo; Gregory Wind, Jr., 30, of Philmont; David Slemp, Jr., 38, of Hudson; Anthony wing, 44, of Hudson; Edward Simmons, 52, of Hudson; and Juanita Diaz, 27, of Hudson, who was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
