Three arrests made in two unrelated Westchester burglaries

WESTCHESTER COUNTY - State Police at Somers, in conjunction with the Pound Ridge Police Department arrested local Pound Ridge resident, Eugene Frangella, 26, of 186 Westchester Avenue, following the report of a residential alarm activation on Horseshoe Hill Road in Pound Ridge. During the past four to six weeks the Town of Pound Ridge has experienced numerous residential burglaries, most of which occurred during daytime hours and on weekdays.

Frangella admitted to investigating officers that he has been committing burglaries in the Pound Ridge area.

Some proceeds of the burglaries had been recovered at the time of Mr. Frangella’s arrest for eight counts of Burglary 2nd. The joint investigative work by members of the State Police and the Pound Ridge Police Department brought this string of burglaries to a close.

State Police in Cortlandt brought a similar, but unrelated burglary spree to a close with the arrest of Robert Jakaitis, 26, of #4 Aldar Court, Cortlandt and William Desantes, 26, #14 North 4th Street, Cortlandt. The arrests followed an intensive state police investigation into multiple daytime residential burglaries in the Lake Allendale section of the Town of Cortlandt. Both suspects face
