Liberty man charged with assault in domestic incident
Police charged Mario Molina with assault in the third degree and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, a misdemeanor.
That is based on a new law that was instituted last November, which makes it a crime to strangle someone.
Molina was arrested after police responded to a call for a domestic dispute at an apartment building on Ontario Street.
He was arraigned and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail.
