OSSINING – Two Westchester County men are in the Westchester County Jail on bail following their arrests for a knifepoint drug deal gone bad. Breet Oleet, 25, of Ossining, and Christopher Demauro, 24, of Mount Kisco, are each charged with felony first-degree robbery. Demauro is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a felony, and menacing in the second degree, a misdemeanor. The robbery occurred on March 18 shortly after midnight in the area of Brookside Lane and Ryder Road in the Town of Ossining. The victim had contacted Oleet and told him he wanted to buy Percocet, a prescription medication. Oleet came to the scene with Demauro, according to the victim, and Demauro put a knife to his throat. The two men took more than $200 in cash before fleeing in a 2006 Audi. Westchester County Police, assisted by Mount Kisco Police, were looking for the vehicle and on Thursday night, around 6:30, Mount Kisco Police stopped the car and took the two men into custody. They were later turned over to county police. Both were arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla, Oleet in lieu of $75,000 bail and Demauro in lieu of $50,000 bail. |
