Peckham to expand with Greene IDA help

TOWN OF ATHENS – Peckham Industries will lease and redevelopment property in the Town of Athens, with the aid of the Greene County Industrial Development Agency. The transaction will provide for the expansion of the existing Peckham facilities and creation of five new jobs.

The project will involve the rehabilitation of the current 22,500 square foot building on the site for the intended use of office, equipment and truck repair shop and light metal fabrication.

Once completed, the facility will be used to support operations of Peckham Industries by providing vehicle and equipment maintenance facilities for company owned equipment. The remainder of the space will be used as a warehouse for company owned materials and equipment.

The company will make payments in lieu of taxes on the regular assessment without abatement.
