Pet dog euthanized after it attacks its two owners

WALLKILL – A five-year-old pet Boxer that belonged to two residents of a home at 18 Miller Heights Road in the Town of Wallkill was euthanized by a veterinarian after he attacked its two owners.         

Police responded to an animal complaint at 6:15 Friday morning and found the owners were attacked by the Boxer when one victim tried to break up a fight between that dog and another one of their pet dogs.

The Boxer was contained after the attack in the rear yard and at the request of the owner, it was taken to a local vet for testing for infectious diseases and at the request of the owner, the dog was euthanized.
