| Town approves KJ hookup to aqueduct |
|
NEW WINDSOR – The Village of Kiryas Joel will be allowed to tap into the Catskill Aqueduct in New Windsor. The town board Wednesday night approved an agreement to allow the connection at the town’s tap location. The village will foot the cost of the installation work. Kiryas Joel, to the south, will construct a pipeline to bring the water supply to the village. How much water may be drawn from the aqueduct is up to the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, which operates the network of reservoirs and the city’s water supply.
