Scenic Hudson participates in America’s Great Outdoors Initiative

POUGHKEEPSIE – America’s Great Outdoors Initiative has received the input of area environmental organizations.  Officials met in Washington last week for a project which received input from, among others, Poughkeepsie-based Scenic Hudson, whose president is Ned Sullivan.

This is the President’s plan to put federal resources behind public-private partnerships to create jobs and improve the help of Americans by conserving land, protecting working farms and creating great public parks,” Sullivan said.

Scenic Hudson organized listening sessions around the Mid-Hudson last year where some 400 people spoke on how the outdoors could be developed to the benefit of the region.
