Striking CWA workers endorse French

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Communications Workers of America Local 120, which is striking against Verizon, Thursday, announced its support for Democratic Dutchess County Executive Candidate Daniel French.

Union President Mike Salvia said French is the only candidate in the race who is walking the picket lines with the membership and is “standing up for the rights of workers.”

French said he has “always been a big union supporter.”

Democrat French, the current Beekman Town supervisor, will face off in the November general election against Republican State Assemblyman Marc Molinaro.
