NEWBURGH – The Greater Hudson Valley Health Center has added 30 new jobs to its 145 in Newburgh, making it one of the city’s largest employers.  The agency, which serves over 17,000 patients, continues to grow since it moved into its $15 million, 60,000 square foot main facility on Lake Street.

Center President Linda Muller acknowledges the agency is a major player in the community in terms of health care and the economy.

“We like to believe that we’ve helped in that area,” she said. “I think if people really understand what a community health center’s real mission is to do, is to bring quality health care to all people and also to be an economic engine taking folks from the community and offering jobs opportunities. This community health center right here in the City of Newburgh has exceeded expectations.”

During the next two years, the health center anticipates adding another 20 jobs to its payroll.
