Police investigate Wappingers Falls homicide

WAPPINGERS FALLS – Police continue to investigate the stabbing death of a woman whose body was found in her Spring Street, Wappingers Falls apartment on Saturday.  Police are targeting a man as a person of interest in the case and they continue to search for him.

The 27-year-old victim, whose name had not been released as of late Saturday, was found dead in an upstairs apartment on Spring Street in Wappingers Falls around 8 a.m. Saturday.

Police are looking for Gabriel Adrian Lopez Perez, 27, as a person of interest in the case. He is about six feet, two inches tall, 220 pounds, with a bald head and a mole on his left cheek.

Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to call State Police at Wappinger at 845-298-0952 or 845-677-7300.

Village of Wappingers Falls Police and the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office are working with the State Police in the investigation.
