| Volunteer driver takes Monroe ambulance for unauthorized spin, flips it |

MONROE – A member of the Monroe Volunteer Ambulance Corp was relieved of his duties and arrested after he took an ambulance out for an unauthorized ride with no call for service, and flipped it over, Monroe Police said. Paul Casson, 30, with an address in the Bronx, took the vehicle out around 1 a.m. Monday and while on Route 17M, rolled the vehicle right in front of the ambulance corps building, said Police Chief Dominick Giudice. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels. Casson was treated and released at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. He was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He told officers he had taken the sleeping pill Ambien
