CLAVERACK – The driver of a minivan was rushed to Albany Medical Center Tuesday night after his vehicle was slammed into by a tractor-trailer truck.

The accident occurred around 9 p.m. on Route 23 in Craryville.  Initial reports say the minivan had pulled off the Taconic Parkway when the eastbound tractor trailer, carrying corn oil, T-boned it.

Police say the unidentified minivan driver sustained serious head injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.

Rt. 23 was closed to traffic for about 2 hours.
