| Kirwan ahead with most of Poughkeepsie to count |

POUGHKEEPSIE – Former Assemblyman Thomas Kirwan (R-Newburgh) is now 166 votes ahead of incumbent Frank Skartados (D-Milton) as absentee ballots continue to be counted. So far, the ballots in the Ulster and Orange County portions of the 100th District have all been counted and in Dutchess, the City of Beacon votes have been counted and absentees in three of 24 City of Poughkeepsie districts have been tallied. On Wednesday, the counting will resume and it is expected to continue next week because of the Thanksgiving holiday.
