GERMANTOWN – A Columbia County man has been charged with second-degree assault for allegedly stabbing another male member of his household with a fork in the arm during a dispute at a home in the Town of Germantown.

James Coons, 35, also allegedly took a revolver and put it to the head of the other man and broke a telephone during the incident on Friday.

Troopers charges Coons with second-degree assault, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, menacing in the second degree and criminal mischief in the fourth degree.

Coon was arraigned and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $15,000.
