Two restaurants charged with grand larceny for failing to pay state sales tax

WHITE PLAINS – Two restaurants in White Plains have been charged with failing to pay state sales tax.

H&G Liquidating Corps., doing business as Tango Grill, at 128 East Post Road, was charged in a 10 count indictment for one count of grand larceny in the second degree, and nine counts of offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree, all felonies.

The company was charged with collecting and then failing to report sales tax receives of over $50,000.

CitiCenter Café, doing business as Antipasti, at 1 North Broadway, was charged with a felony of grand larceny in the second degree for collecting and then failing to report sales tax receives of over $56,000.

The charges are a result of joint investigation by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office and the state Department of Taxation and Finance.
