$2 million in stimulus funds for new Warwick Village water filtration |
WARWICK – More federal stimulus funds are starting to flow and
$2 million of that is flowing to the Village of Warwick to correct its
problem of a contaminated drinking well. “There was brown water and runoff from rain water, unsanitary input into the village’s well,” he said. “So, they would have to repair it, filter it or shut it down.” The money from Washington will provide for the construction of a micro-filtration plant and in the process, employ 25 people. |
