Port Jervis trains back in service

PORT JERVIS – The Port Jervis commuter rail line resumed service Monday after being off-line since the blizzard struck late last week.  About 2,000 people use the line each weekday morning.

Over 50 trees had fallen on the line during the storm that dumped close to three feet of snow on the region.

The line runs from Port Jervis to Hoboken, with connection to Penn Station via PATH.  It is operated for Metro-North by New Jersey Transit.
