Columbia County accident leads to find of special cookies

NEW LEBANON – A minor personal injury accident on Route 20 in New Lebanon early Thursday yielded an interesting discovery.

Ronald Bixby, 73, of Nassau, NY, was found in possession of a large plastic bowl of oatmeal raisin cookies with an extra added ingredient – marijuana.  He also had in his possession a plastic bag with more pot.

He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana with additional charges pending, according to troopers.

Bixby refused medical care for abrasions on his arms and legs.
