Entergy and Teamsters Local 456 reach contract agreement

BUCHANAN – Entergy and the Teamsters Local 456 reached an agreement Sunday afternoon on a five year contract for the union’s workers at Indian Point Energy Center.

The union represents about 200 security officers at the power plant.

"The tentative agreement reached today is a very good package for our security workers and for Entergy," said Indian Point site vice president Joe Pollock.

The tentative agreement would have to be approved by the union membership at Indian Point in a vote expected to take place this week.

Last week, Entergy and the Utility Workers Union of America Local 1-2 settled with a new four year contract.
