Two arrested on I-95 with 700 Oxycodone pills

TARRYTOWN – Two Bronx men have been arrested and charged with possessing over 700 Oxycodone pills with a street value of over $62,000.

Thruway State Police arrested Chayan Caraballo Urbaez, 21, and Laurence Fermin-Rodriguez, 22, while driving northbound on I-95 in New Rochelle on Friday morning.  The vehicle was initially stopped for equipment violations.

A search of the car turned up the pills leading to charges of first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession with intent to sell.

Both men were arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail.
