Highland man indicted on burglary, assault charges

KINGSTON – A Highland man was indicted by an Ulster County grand jury on charges of burglary in the first degree, two counts of assault in the first degree and assault in the second degree.

Christopher Leszczynski, 36, allegedly broke into a residence on Conklin Hill Road in Marlboro in October 2009 and stabbed a resident during a struggle, according to police at the time of the incident.

The victim, who was stabbed in the abdomen, was treated at a Poughkeepsie hospital.
