Three arrested in Newburgh drug raid

NEWBURGH – Two women and one man have been arrested as the result of a raid at 76 Carpenter Avenue in Newburgh.

Police conducted the raid late Thursday afternoon and arrested.

Elizabeth Cea, 30, of 300 Liberty Street in Newburgh; Dawn Denise Morrison, 45, of 45 Concord Street in Newburgh; and Omar Dwayne Hutchinson, 28, of 160 Vails Gate Heights Drive in New Windsor, were charged with drug offenses following execution of a search warrant.

Police had been investigating illegal sales of marijuana at the Carpenter Avenue address.

When police entered, they spotted Hutchinson had climbed through the kitchen window in an attempt to flee. He was caught in a rear yard.

The two women were located in the kitchen/living room area.

Officers found several bags of marijuana in the kitchen/living room; 28 clear plastic baggies with a total weight of 35 grams. Officers also found in a kitchen drawer a digital scale commonly for weighing narcotics, and several small plastic bags that are used to package marijuana.

Cea was charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree, criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, both misdemeanors, and violation of probation and aggravated harassment in the second degree, both on warrants.

Morrison and Hutchinson were each charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, both misdemeanors.
